MEMIC awards to nine policyholders for outstanding safety and claims management

PORTLAND, Maine, June 14, 2004 – At the company's Annual Meeting in June, Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Company (MEMIC) and its subsidiary, MEMIC Indemnity Company, made awards for outstanding performance in workers' compensation to nine of the companies' more than 22,000 customers.

At the June meeting at the Portland Museum of Art, MEMIC made awards for safety management to:
  • Treats Falls House - Orono, Maine
  • Knowles Industrial Services Corporation - Gorham, Maine
  • Maine Ornamental Woodworkers, Inc. - Eliot, Maine
  • Northeast Coating Technologies - Kennebunk, Maine
  • Farmington Construction, Inc. - Farmington, Maine

The company also made claims management awards to:

  • Barber Foods - Portland, Maine 
  • University System of New Hampshire - Durham, New Hampshire
  • Rannie Webster Foundation - Rye, New Hampshire
  • L.L. Bean - Freeport, Maine
