MEMIC Promotes Denise Amoateng and Taylor Finn to Key Leadership Positions

(Portland, ME) — The MEMIC Group, a super-regional workers’ compensation insurance company, promotes Denise Amoateng to Director of Legal, Risk, and Privacy, and Taylor Finn to Director of Financial Accounting.
Denise Amoateng has demonstrated exceptional commitment to safeguarding MEMIC’s legal interests and ensuring data privacy compliance since joining the company in 2024. Licensed to practice law in Connecticut and certified in U.S. Data Privacy, she brings substantial expertise to her new role. Denise will support the Chief Risk Officer by spearheading legal analysis, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and data privacy initiatives, while collaborating with external counsel on critical legal matters.

Denise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Eastern Connecticut State University, a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School, and a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law.
Taylor Finn brings eight years of financial accounting and workers' compensation expertise to her new position, having proven herself an invaluable team member since joining MEMIC in 2016.
In her expanded role, Taylor will lead the financial accounting and loss-sensitive reporting teams while supporting both the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities include streamlining operational budget cycles, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and statutory regulations.

Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Southern Maine, an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, and is a certified Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP).
