Kelly Barden Promoted to Communications Production Manager

PORTLAND, ME, July 25, 2012 – Kelly Barden has been promoted to the new position of Communications Production Manager. In her new role, she will oversee and implement communications and branding projects across all areas of The MEMIC Group.
Barden has worked for the company for 14 years, starting her career as an intern through Southern Maine Community College’s Maine Career Advantage initiative. After a year as an intern, she was hired full-time as a Communications Assistant and was later promoted to Communications Specialist.
Barden graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Southern Maine. She has served on the board of the Maine Public Relations Council since 2007 and is currently the chair of the Communications Committee. She is also a member of the Communications Committee of the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF).
Barden is a native of southern Maine and lives in Portland.
