Senior Management - Gary Baxter

Gary joined MEMIC in 1996 to bring strategic focus to MEMIC’s information systems. He has built a department that supports all of MEMIC’s operations with reliable, state-of-the-art business systems.

After servicing in the U.S. Air Force for four years, Gary attended New Hampshire College where he received his B.S. in management information systems in 1986. Twenty years later, in 2006, he received a Master’s Certificate in Information Security from Villanova University. In addition to early experience in systems analysis and programming with GTE Lighting, Gary has focused most of his career on insurance industry management information systems engineering.

In addition to working for American International Group (AIG), he has held senior positions with ISI, Allenbrook and Spectrum Associates, leading software and systems developers for the insurance industry. Gary earned his MBA from Bentley College in 1992 and is GUPTA Certified in Client/Server Development.

In 1996 Gary joined MEMIC in the position of CIO. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2001.  In his most recent position, he not only developed systems solutions but also provided client support to senior management and internal operations developers. Using his customer focus, Gary brings extensive expertise to an industry in need of user-friendly automation and high value customer support.
