Leading a small group is something most of us do, in some fashion, each and every day. Whether it's at work or at home or
as a volunteer, we're charged with putting people together to accomplish a goal.
Even when there are no complicating factors – such as The Perfect Storm or the intensity of the world's attention during the Olympic games – being a leader can be a difficult proposition.
At the 11th annual MEMIC Comp Summit, we're delighted to feature an array of workshops and speakers to help you learn more about how you can lead your organization to a safer, more productive future.
To that end, this year's summit features, Linda Greenlaw, famous as the only woman swordfish boat captain in the world, and Peter Vidmar, captain of the successful 1984 U.S. men's Olympic gymnastics team. Each will share with you – in their own unique
way – their insights into leading small, dynamic groups of people. We'll also get you updated on the New England economy with a speaker from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and you'll hear from the leader of a business, now in its 6th generation of
family leadership, who will talk about how he plans to prepare his company for future generations.
The Summit includes a full morning of breakout sessions that focus on the details of your workers' comp program, from learning what makes people tick to dealing with injuries that occur in our aging workforce. You'll come away with information that you
can put to use immediately.
